Paper Trails Adventure!!!

The most exciting news ever!!! I am heading out on Friday with the awesome & talented Eileen Hull and her camper "Scotty". We are driving up North with our destination being CHA Paper Arts+ Show in the Chicago area. For the full scoop on the PaperTrail#5 you can see Eileens blog post here as well as her class information enroute.
In honor of this fun whirlwind trip I have been playing with Eileen's Sizzix dies and creating new potential classes and samples for the show. Here is a wee sneak peak as I scramble to finish. Keep in mind these are "IN PROGRESS".

Loving the beachy theme with Eileen's Train Case & Canvas Corp. I have so many ideas for these dies very exciting!!! I don't know why but I feel like lobster...
A trio of journals in Eileen's cube. Each journal is using different paint products and techniques. Need to jazz up the cube still.
A travel mini inside the fabulous Recipe Card box. Just starting out on this one but love, love this die!!!! Ok lots to do but I will have some updates on my blog and new twitter/instagram (if I figure it out)!!!!

Getting Back On Track

It been a crazy couple of months- non stop activity rushing from one priority to another. From the musical my senior was in and I heavily/overly volunteered for, to lax coaching, party planning and all the graduation craziness I have survived. Family has come & gone house was cleaned from top to bottom-except my bedroom! WHY??? I took a week recovery where I started shoveling out my "studio" as it was a dumping ground for all of the above. I finally did start a project that has been on my list for a few years. I am making an art journal/smash type book for my favorites. Photos, stuff, memories anything that strikes me. I want to keep it simple but inky. I am using a book I bought from a thrift store. Here is my first layout!
These happy little gnomes were bought for my garden but they were so cute I kept them on my kitchen window sill. They have been there for a few years now & they just make me happy. The background is texture paste with stencils and glimmer mist. A stash tag and some ephemera. Yay I have started!!!!
